Towns gas processes

Towns Gas is making a resurgence in economies lacking indigenous natural gas supply but with abundant resources such as coal, driven by the need for energy security and the need to support economic development.

Towns Gas is the process by which a clean synthetic natural gas is manufactured from heavier hydrocarbon feedstocks such as naphtha or coal. The process generally contains similar process stages to those which are involved in a classical hydrogen plant although the operating methodology is rather different.

Johnson Matthey offers process technology and catalysts for the Towns Gas sector. Please talk to your JMy representative for further information.
